Membership INFORMATION
Membership is open to any individual who is involved with administrative functions of the medical staff or managed care organizations.

Membership Benefits
- The Annual State Conference, which provides speakers and workshops on diversified topics of interest to those involved in medical staff services and/or managed care organizations. There is a conference registration discount for members.
- Continuing education credits for attendance at educational programs, seminars, and workshops.
- Automatic membership in regional Chapter, at no extra cost, which provides additional opportunities for continuing education and networking.
- Updates from State of Michigan Licensing Board, Michigan Health and Hospital Association, Michigan State Medical Society, The Joint Commission, NCQA, and AOA.
- Support for members preparing for the CPMSM (Certified Professional Medical Services Management) or CPCS (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist) exams offered by NAMSS.

Different Membership Categories exists to meet your needs:
Active: Active membership shall consist of individuals actively involved in administrative functions of a medical staff, credentialing, privileging, practitioner or provider organizations, and/or regulatory compliance in the healthcare industry in the State of Michigan. Active members shall pay dues and be eligible to vote and hold office.
Associate: Associate membership shall be available to those interested in the overall aims and objectives of this Association and shall consist of former active members who no longer meet the criteria for Active membership, individuals who support MAMSS/NAMSS, or full-time students enrolled in a health-related field. Associate members shall be required to pay dues but are not eligible to vote or hold office; however, they may serve in an advisory position.
Honorary: Honorary members shall consist of members deemed deserving of membership by virtue of the outstanding reputation, noteworthy contributions to MAMSS/NAMSS or their previous long-standing service to MAMSS, and who continue to exemplify high standards of professional and ethical conduct. Honorary membership may be awarded at the discretion of the Board of Directors. Honorary members are not eligible to vote or hold office, and shall not be required to pay dues. They may serve in an advisory position to the Board or a committee. Contact Membership Chair or refer to MAMSS Bylaws for more information.
